We followed Rick's description with no issues. We thought there would be no signs of humans, but it looks like a couple days before a group of 2-3 with a dog had made it in and up this remote peak. Funny how it works sometimes when you choose an obscure destination hoping to see no signs of humans; you seem to broadcast your subconscious and people make it in a couple days before you. Large cairn at summit but no sign of a register.

From Banff, drive west to Castle Junction, then south on Highway 93 toward Radium. At 50.7060,-115.9002, turn left onto Settlers Road. Drive south along the Kootenay River for about 12 km to a junction at 50.6151,-115.8074 where the road forks. Take the left fork onto the Lower Cross River FSR. Drive north on it to the Mitchell-Cross fork at 50.729557,-115.667957 (Jct 26). Here you turn right (east) on the Upper Cross River road, which has been decommissioned but is still drivable.
