Magnesia Meadows Attempt on Skis

The trail up is narrow but just wide enough for tight turns. The steep climb under Mount Harvey can be dangerous under heightened avalanche conditions.
With the great weather and both having the day off me and Rebecca decided to go on a ski adventure. We decided on Magnesia Meadows and planned on arriving at 8am. The main parking lot on Sunset Dr was completely full so we ended up parking just down the street on Mountain Dr.

From There we walked up the road and made a left to the trail head at the end of sunset drive. We hiked up the trail with our skis on our pack until the second switchback and decided there was enough snow to start skiing.

From there we continued along the trail until we reached the magnesia creek spur which took us to the base of Mount Harvey. The trail is quite a bit smaller in width and had some dead fall but also has a more gradual incline

We continued on but were ultimately forced to turn back due to unstable conditions.All in all it was a fun day up in the...
