Ski trip early April 2013. 2 skiers and my dog. We drove up Meadow Mtn Rd to the Selkirk Wilderness parking area below the lodge and snowmobiled up the Meadow rd, then down South Cooper creek rd (this is a low elevation road which had bare sections and avy debris from several South facing slide paths) then along McKian Ck road. We were lucky to sled to the end of McKian Ck rd and then we skinned a few hrs low angle approach thru old growth forest along Mckian ck and Spokane creek to the base of Mt Cooper. We camped at the last group of trees (approx 4300`)where we had a great view of the Spokane Glacier & Cooper. [photo]camp.jpg[caption]Camp[/photo]

The forecast was for rain, but the sky cleared overnight, so we did an alpine start (I left my dog in the tent). We skinned up the spokane glacier with several bootpacks near the mid and top of the mountain.
