At the top of our hike up the new trails, we came upon two dirt bikes who had gotten there from the other side, via the Northair Mine road, up the new RMOW shared path, past the signs prohibiting further travel by motorized vehicles, and into the Whistler watershed on the north side of Tonic Peak. They also spun their wheels damaging the trail and rode off trail across the meadows.
Actually dirt bikes, but there is no classification provided for them.
Impact: Damaged trail and meadows, potential to contaminate Whistler water source. Reduce desirability of self propelled activity, leading to obesity and health problems.
