Nearing the Summit of Aye Mountain # 9681

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 1997.08.03
Vantage Point: From the start of the long, broken ramp leading north to the summit of Aye

Caption: The venerable Bill Hurst gazing at Mt Assiniboine and the scree climbing on the finish to Aye

PhotoDescr: See Trip Report #1242: there is some complex and difficult climbing from a bivy in the Eon Creek meadows to get to this point, and even here the difficulties are not over - the scree shelves have horrendous drop-offs and there are a couple of technically serious humps and notches to be traversed to reach the the final upward slanting boardwalk leading to the apex.
