Wapta Mountain from the Yoho Pass Trail # 963

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2001.10.01
Vantage Point: From Yoho Pass Trail

Caption: The north end of Wapta Mountain is the south shoulder of Yoho Pass (left).

PhotoDescr: Wapta Mountain is a dominating feature of the Emerald Triangle, a 20-km dayhike around the Emerald Lake area. For most of the day, the low-angled October sun stayed behind Wapta as I enjoyed the crisp fall weather. The second leg of the triangle, the Wapta Highline, passes along the treeline on the side of Wapta seen in the picture.
