Robie Reid from the Northwest # 9492

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 1972.08.04
Vantage Point: From Pass NE of Osprey Peak

Caption: Robie Reid from our second but last pass

PhotoDescr: From here we descended into the snowy bowl, then up through the rocky gully to the flat snow shoulder and around the corner into a bowl southeast of Osprey Peak. Robie Reid and Judge Howey were beacons to us on the second half of our traverse. On the last days of our trip Robie Reid was almost always straight ahead.

Behind the ridge in front of Robie Reid which runs south of Mount Bole (the peaks on the ridge would be Bole S2 and S3) are the headwaters of Gold Creek. Our last pass lies further to the right out of the picture. Mount Baker peeks above the saddle in the center and at the far right is Mount Martyn.
