Nimbus Peak from the North # 9486

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 1972.07.31
Vantage Point: From Snowcap Peak

Caption: Peter looking across Misty Icefields towards Nimbus Peak

PhotoDescr: Snowcap Peak was a great viewpoint. Its south slopes are quite precipitous, but from the saddle to the east descent to the Misty Icefields was quite easy. Nimbus Peak is the most westerly of the Stave Glacier complex and stands at the edges of the Pitt valley. It lay far to the west of our route and we had not planned to climb it. The mountains on the left horizon are the group west of Vickers Creek, NE of the head of Pitt Lake.
