Terminal Peaks Panorama # 9201

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2006.08.13
Vantage Point: From the glacial slabs above and southeast of Perley Rock

Caption: A panorama showing South and North Terminal Peaks with the west ridge of North Terminal

PhotoDescr: Taken on a hike to check out the traverse of the Terminal Peaks. In David P. Jones' book, the Selkirks South, he notes that the traverse of the Terminal Peaks is "one of the forgotten classics of the Rogers Pass" area. The preferred direction is south to north, climbing the south ridge of South Terminal and then following the ridge crest to North Terminal and finally traversing the west ridge to descend to Perley Rock. The peaks are made of the same Hamill quartzite that gives such exceptional climbing on Sir Donald and Uto to the south.
