Mount Prophet - North Side # 8921

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2006.08.05
Vantage Point: From summit of the Devils Tongue

Caption: The Mount Prophet complex as seen from the north.

PhotoDescr: This photo was taken from an awesome trip up the Devils Tongue in a remote part of the Washington Cascades. Mount Prophet (center) stood out from others in the area with it's isolation and colorful rock. It is apparently made up of Skagit gniess which, although is not that popular with alpinists, makes a colorful peak for a photo. The glacier on the north flanks is the Arctic Glacier. The large glacier in the distance I believe is the Boston Glacier.
