Morning near Khawachen Mountain # 8842

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2006.08.17
Vantage Point: From ridge south of Seel Lake

Caption: Unnamed summit on the long ridge east of Khawachen Mountain

PhotoDescr: July and August 2006 were poor months in the Kemano area, with day after day of mist and drizzle heading up the valleys from Gardner Canal. This meant too many mosquitoes and too few summits reached, but one plus was the superb quality of the flowers and meadows. They just kept going, week after week.

The eastern Coast Mountains in this region is a a beautiful land of small peaks and generally broad valleys. Many peaks have been climbed by geologists, some by prospectors. This one may still be unclimbed. There's nothing difficult here, but it's fine country.
