Overlook SE2 and Mount Alfred # 8804

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2006.08.07
Vantage Point: From the summit of Mt. Freda

Caption: A view northward from Freda to Overlook SE2 and Mt. Freda

PhotoDescr: Mt. Alfred dominates the Powell-Jervis Area in many ways. Because of its 8,000 feet, you can see it from all the divides and because of its situation near the water, you can capture some beautiful shots of its great rise from the top of Jervis Inlet or Queen's Reach.

It looks fairly different from all sides, so I do not hesitate to snap it if I can see it.

For those of you who remember David Lynch's "Dune," the pyramidal peaks that with Alfred ring the glacier within, may remind you of a giant sand worm plunging through the rock.
