Mount Albert - Northeast Side # 8699

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2006.07.19
Vantage Point: From along a ridge northeast of Mt Albert

Caption: Northeast Face of Mount Albert

PhotoDescr: Taken on Day 3 of a 5-day trip into the Loquilts Lake area. I was enroute to Mount Tinniswood, but with weather closing in, and a bivy likely I made the decision to bail (after climbing a minor peak a little further north) and headed back to my camp at Contact Lakes.

This is the view to the southwest of the large isolated massif of Mount Albert. From this view, it has the appearance of a highly guarded castle with icy moats, but access is actually quite easy from the south.
