Mount Alexander and the Blastus Ridge # 8697

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2006.07.19
Vantage Point: From along a ridge northeast of Mt Albert

Caption: East side of Mount Alexander, a high point along the Blastus Ridge (just left of center)

PhotoDescr: Taken on Day 3 of a 5-day trip into the Loquilts Lake area. I was en route to Mount Tinniswood, but with weather closing in, and a bivy likely I made the decision to bail (after climbing a minor peak a little further north) and headed back to my camp at Contact Lakes.

This is the view west from along a ridge leading up to 7160 foot peak I climbed later in the afternoon. The valley in the foreground is an eastern branch of Hunaechin Creek.
