Hubbard Glacier Terminus ca. 1978 # 8403

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 1978.07.10
Vantage Point: From the Air to S of Terminus

Caption: The terminus of the Hubbard Glacier at Disenchantment Bay with the Valerie Glacier merging with it from the left. Mount Foresta is at upper left and forms the small massif between Valerie and Hubbard glaciers. The large peak at upper middle right is Mount Hubbard and Mount Alverstone is the peak to its left. The glacier flowing down from below Hubbard is Alverstone Glacier.

PhotoDescr: The glacier flows down from behind Foresta and turns that sharp corner down to the terminus. Most of glacier could never be seen from here as it flows down from the high icefield around Mount King George and Mount Logan. I put this pic up because it is reasonably recent and it shows the glacier terminus. After looking on the Hubbard page the site has many good pics of the area from members.
