The Golden Hinde # 832

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2001.09.16
Vantage Point: Mount Colonel Foster

Caption: The photo shows the Golden Hinde group from the north(west-ish), Mount Colonel Foster. The peak to the right is The Behinde. Golden Hinde is in the middle and the north peak of the Golden Hinde is to the left. The mountains in the right background are Mount Septimus and Rosseau, another two worthy mountains.

PhotoDescr: A late season mountaineering trip brought us to the hardest mountain on the island, Mount Colonel Foster. We had 3-4 days of stunning weather, no clouds! We had fabulous view to the south, The Golden Hinde and Rambler Peak. We did a complete traverse of Mt. Colonel Foster, including the North Tower. Lots of unroped scary climbing(up and down). Please see "Mt. Colonel Foster: The Traverse" for full report.
