Mount Matier from Joffre Peak, with Dog # 8199

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2006.03.23
Vantage Point: From Joffre Peak

Caption: Willie the dog observing our next objective, Mt Matier, after ascending the Aussie (SW) couloir of Joffre Peak.

PhotoDescr: We made the best of a great day in bomber conditions by summitting Joffre peak via the Aussie Couloir, and then Matier via the NE face/ridge. We did both peaks in a day from the road and back. Willie the dog is from Mount Currie.

To add more context to the photo, a bunch of tripmates and I were joking around that Willie might be the first "Mount Currie Special" to have summited the two peaks in a day, from the road, hence making a FA. "Mount Currie Special" is a designation of "Mutt", as he was born of dubious origins in the reservation of Mount Currie. The photo essay was originally intended to be humorous, but it doesn't quite come across that way.
