Lone Goat Mountain - North Aspect (Winter) # 8180

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2006.03.03
Vantage Point: From ridges north of Gibson Pass

Caption: A snow covered Lone Goat Mountain as seen from the north accross Nepopekum Creek drainage.

PhotoDescr: I spent a fantastic day on my own in the backcountry around the Gibson Pass area in Manning Park. Conditions were perfect for some great powder skiing with 20 cm's of fresh snow and a perfect sunny day.

Lone Goat Mountain is just one of the semi-prominent peaks along the divide to the south of Gibson Pass and on this day, made up part of the amazing views to the south around the Mount Hozomeen area.

Seen at left is part of Hozomeen's north summit's vertical northwest face. Im not sure about the one in the right distance, perhaps it's Desolation Peak.
