Date: 2005.08.01
Vantage Point: From Bow Glacier Trail

Caption: Cirque Peak, a popular and easy scramble, is on the far side of the upper Bow Valley from Bow Lake and the trail to Bow Hut.

PhotoDescr: On the third day of a series of day hikes, a group from the Grant MacEwan Mountain Club hiked up to Bow Glacier Falls under sunny skies. On the return leg, we enjoyed the view across Bow Lake's cerulean waters to Cirque Peak, which had been climbed on the same day two years earlier by another GMMC group I had led.

The Bow Glacier trail is a very popular half-day hike from Num-Ti-Jah Lodge. The Helen Lake Trail leads to the foot of Cirque.
