Northeast Side of Unnecessary Mountain # 7701

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2005.06.26
Vantage Point: From ridge enroute to West Lion

Caption: East face of Unnecessary Mountain from a high point on the ridge towards the Lions.

PhotoDescr: Not such an unnecessary mountain in my opinion. A fun hike and a better but longer way than the Binkert Trail. Anything beats a logging road, right? This was the way that people used to go up to the Lions before the Binkert trail. Hence the name Unnecessary, because you had to go over top of it to get to the Lions. Was a beautiful day and this was my first hike in the North Shore!
