Mount Maye and Commander # 7421

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2005.08.19
Vantage Point: From the east tongue of the Commander Glacier

Caption: Commander Mountain (left), Mount Maye, and the Commander Glacier

PhotoDescr: Taken on the way into a camp at 8400' on the north ridge of The Cleaver.

After tagging Commander, Jumbo, and Karnak, we had thoughts of attempting Maye ... until we had a close up look. Best left for the spring when there is lots of snow to cover up the choss.
