Brandywine Glacier: Notch Below and View of Brandywine Meadows # 7315

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2005.09.05
Vantage Point: From above Brandywine Meadows, just below Brandywine Glacier

Caption: Scrambling up directly from the end of Brandywine Meadows brings one to a small notch that leads to Brandywine Glacier.

PhotoDescr: Instead of doing the usual south ridge route to Brandywine Mountain's summit, we headed up the narrow notch at the head of the meadows and scrambled over some glaciated knobs to join the final rise of the south ridge.

Just above where this photo was taken, we surprised a billygoat, who kept us entertained by staying 150 m ahead as we wandered up the ridges. Finally tiring of the game, our lone goat wandered across a glacier and through a high col heading towards the Powdercap Traverse.
