Onslow Mountain and Mount King George from Northover Ridge # 7296

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2005.08.13
Vantage Point: From Northover Ridge Trail

Caption: Sculpted snow and massive peaks

PhotoDescr: Onslow Mountain is the peak in the foreground, an outlier of Northover Ridge. Mount King George is the highest peak on the skyline, the monarch of the Royal Group. Other Royal Group peaks are Mount Princess Mary, to the left of King George; Mount Prince George, in front of King George to the right; Mount Prince Albert, mostly behind Prince George; and Mount Prince Edward, on the right. Mount Prince Henry is out of the photo to the right.

This photo was taken during a day hike of the 34-km Northover Ridge Trail/Route/Traverse by a group from the Grant MacEwan Mountain Club. By the time we reached this vantage, the sun was backlighting the Royal Group, but nicely bringing out the sculpted shapes of the foreground remnants of snow.
