Caption: Mount McArthur on the left and Isolated Peak on the right frame the Glacier Des Poilus.

PhotoDescr: The Glacier Des Poilus is named in honour of the common soldiers of the French army during the First World War. Les poilus means "the hairy ones" in French, and was the slang term for the French rank and file, the equivalent of "Tommies" for the British forces.

This photo was taken during the course of a dayhike of Yoho National Park's famous Iceline Trail by a group from the Grant MacEwan Mountain Club.
