Date: 2005.08.15
Vantage Point: Schultz-Despair col

Caption: The beautiful south sides of the Isolation Peaks from the Despair-Schultz col at the head of the Sunrise Glacier. The middle summit, Isolation #3, is unclimbed.

PhotoDescr: The obvious leftmost buttress was taken by "Sunshine, Lollipops, and Rainbows" 5.9 D (Harng/Peters/Stanton Aug 2005) About 8 pitches long, the rock and the line were damn near perfect. A "crack-of-noon" start resulted in trudging back up the Cataract Glacier in our rockshoes as the sun went down nine hours later. A 15 minute approach from camp at the head of the Sunrise Glacier.

The Sunrise Glacier is an outlying area of granite peaks northeast of Mt Waddington.
