Upper Northeast Ridge of Sloan # 7192

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2005.06.04
Vantage Point: From the ridge crest below the final summit step

Caption: The final summit "headwall" of Mt. Sloan's NE ridge

PhotoDescr: This was taken during an early season solo ascent of Sloan, with just nice enough weather to make it worthwhile. I'd recommend doing this climb in early season as the couloirs on the southeast side were still full of snow and made for a fast-easy descent (fast and easy is the way we like it!). It's a beautiful place and this is a fine Class 4 ridge scramble on good rock, enjoy!
