South Tower of Mount Fee # 7165

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2005.08.14
Vantage Point: From the base of Mt. Fee on its south side

Caption: Standing in awe below the monumental south tower of Mt. Fee

PhotoDescr: You can reach Mt. Fee within 2-3 hours from the end of Squamish Branch 700. There is an interesting volcanic bump on the way, about 1 km SW of Fee, easily accessible from NE. Once at Mt. Fee's base, you can make a pleasant circuit around the mountain, and try some scrambling/climbing up at various locations, although you probably won't get very high without a rope and a helmet. The rock is generally loose and unstable, as expected, but seems a bit better on the south side, at least just above the base.
