The Crux Shoulder of Cinquefoil Mountain # 6972

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2005.07.17
Vantage Point: From scrambling route on Cinquefoil Moutain

Caption: Finding the right route over this shoulder is the crux of the Cinquefoil Mountain Scramble.

PhotoDescr: The guidebook being of no use, our little group from the Grant MacEwan Mountain Club made a choice, then backed off and tried to follow another group led by someone who had been there before. When we went where we thought they had gone, we didn't like what we found. See the trip report for details.

Apparently, other scramblers have had success following the most direct scree gully, just right of the ridgeline. We'll have to try that next time.
