"Odd" Exposure on Dickson's North Ridge # 6964

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2005.07.19
Vantage Point: From on ridge

Caption: Five foot drop on your right, five hundred foot one on your left . . .

PhotoDescr: It is often difficult to convey exposure in a photo. Gut wrenching situations often turn out quite pedestrian with the larger reference points removed.

This was an odd situation. The climbing was class 3-4 and required no gear, but the drop to the south was pretty big and suggested remaining tied in to a short rope. You could also take to the snow at this point, but you'd miss some cool climbing. I have no idea where the class 5 Fairley mentions is; it's all fourth, but damn good.
