Crown Mountain # 6917

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2005.07.03
Vantage Point: From its subpeak, the Camel

Caption: The foreground shows the slabby descent before rappelling the Camel's neck. Behind is the pyramidal feature of Crown Mountain, with a tiny figure near its summit.

PhotoDescr: Bryan & I baulked at the $30 gondola fee. Matt however, was entitled to ride up since he had bludgeoned himself taking whippers in Squamish two days prior. (Two disembodied packs were lucky enough to ride up with Matt.) After hiking the Grouse Grind and taking a munch break on Crown Mtn., we clambered up & over the Camel. Terrific views of our city!

Cautionary note re: Camel: lots of trundelling action, landing on the wide belay platform as one makes the traverse over the Camel's back.
