Crux on the North Ridge of Melvin Peak # 6889

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2005.07.03
Vantage Point: From the north ridge of CY11

Caption: I didn't quite get the camera out in time to catch the actual move that makes up the crux of this route, but Gerry Kollmuss (red jacket) is just above it, and it felt like it went at 4th class with a bit of loose rock (watch what you grab). Don Funk is in the foreground, and Fred Touche is waiting at the summit wondering what's taking everybody so long.

PhotoDescr: Don, Gerry, Fred and I completed a traverse of this incredible peak in the Downton Creek area. We climbed the north ridge (very loose class 3/4), and descended the east ridge (good to loose class 2/3).
