Northeast Face of Mt. Hardy # 6755

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2005.05.30
Vantage Point: From near the summit of Golden Horn

Caption: The 2000' northeast face of Mount Hardy near Washington Pass. To the left is Black Peak, while Mount Goode is the distant peak just right of the summit.

PhotoDescr: The sun/shade line on the right hand side of the northeast face of Hardy is "The Disappearing Floor" IV 5.10 A1 (Aylward/Murphy), supposedly a good route and featured in the latest edition of the Nelson/Potterfield Selected Climbs in the Cascades. Other parts of the face do not look to have the same quality of rock, but the gullies might be good winter climbs if you could get there in the winter (the North Cascades Highway is not plowed in winter).
