The Holly Lake Peaks of the Cayoosh Range -- Labelled # 5801

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2004.07.21
Vantage Point: From Summit of Delta Dawn

Caption: Looking to the Downton-Lost Valley divide from the summit of Delta Dawn.

PhotoDescr: These are the names applied by Alan Greer in the 1990 CAJ to the granitic peaks at the head of Downton Creek. Soprano is out of view on the right.

The basin containing Holly and Lorna Lakes lies between Contralto and Linus. Most ridges in the area were class 3-4 according to Greer, but there are two climbs on Faulty Tower, which is out of view on the right, along the east ridge of Linus. Basil Buttress was 5.6 and the Crack of Noon was 5.9

The white wall at the base of the photo contains some beautiful looking steep granite and is right at the side of the upper Downton FSR.

This photo was taken during a little walk I tried to do back in July.
