Hobbitt land? # 5729

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2004.09.06
Vantage Point: From Cheam Peak trail

Caption: Beautiful Spoon Lake and the bowl below Cheam/Lady peaks

PhotoDescr: Scored good weather on the Labour Day Monday, and got to make my first venture into the Cheam Range (finally!). Two of us set out to Cheam, though a little later than we had hoped. Our initial plan was to hike up Cheam, then scramble up Lady Peak before calling it a day. Unfortunately, our lazy start time denied that option by the time we got up Cheam. Once out of the parking area, and shortly after leaving the logging road and entering the meadows below Cheam/Lady, we passed by Spoon Lake. It was a pretty interesting feature. Once further up the slope above, I looked back to see this scene. The bowl and the lake almost looked like they belonged in Lord of the Rings with little Hobbitts running around! It was such a contrast to the numerous logging scars one passes on the way in to the area
