Mason Area from South # 5724

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2004.07.24
Vantage Point: From peaks to south

Caption: The remote bulwark of the Douglas-Nahatlatch divide.

PhotoDescr: Actually, with a preclearance from Cattermole through their Nahatlatch camp, it appears feasible to get up Mason in a weekend from Vancouver. There is an absence of the big technical lines some had hoped for though. The road on the Nahatlatch mainline now apparently extends almost to tree line south of Gowan creek and this looks like a really interesting area to explore. This trip took in the dramatic but mossy peaks on the Stokke-Pygmy divide.
