Bendor Mountain Looks Good From Here # 5723

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2004.07.03
Vantage Point: From pass to west.

Caption: . . . but it aint that attractive up close.

PhotoDescr: Yes, it's granite, but . . . The skyline ascent of the two towers (the bottom one is not fully visible) and then the northeast arete on the main summit sure looks like a spectacular route until you get below it. The rock comes off in sheets and the crest is a bloody knife edge. It might go but I don't think I'll be the one to try it. Luckily we got stormed out the next day before we could try it back in July.
