Currie - Wedge Panorama from Sproatt # 5638

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2004.01.04
Vantage Point: From eastern flank of Mt. Sproatt

Caption: Looking north from Mt. Sproatt

PhotoDescr: From left to right, the peaks of Mt. Currie, Mt. Weart and Wedge Mtn. are easily identifiable. While much less travelled than the Spearhead traverse, the Wedge-Currie traverse is by all accounts a worthy ski adventure.

This picture was taken during a ski ascent of Mt. Sproatt on a bitterly cold day in early January 2004. The cold climb was rewarded with an 1000' descent down the west side of Sproatt in untracked, knee deep, powder.
