Hiking the Southwest Ridge of Numa Mountain # 5067

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 1996.08.10
Vantage Point: From the southwest ridge of Numa Mountain, above Numa Pass

Caption: Hikers following the southwest ridge at the forepeak of Numa Mountain, with the main peak beyond. Stanley Peak is on the skyline to the left.

PhotoDescr: Yes, that is a big drop ahead. (The more scree, the better, right?) We hiked to the summit of the peak from Floe Lake campground on a gorgeous day, returned to camp, and hiked out late that afternoon. On descent we bypassed the forepeak, traversing the slopes below and to the right of the ridge being followed in this photo.
