Helm Lake and Black Tusk # 4879

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2003.08.12
Vantage Point: From a ridge east of Helm Lake

Caption: Helm Lake below left, with Helm Creek flowing into it, and Black Tusk looming above. Two trekkers lying on the hot cinder are barely visible in the bottom left of the pic.

PhotoDescr: I did some scrambling in the Cinder Flats area and was rewarded with some cool views of Castle Towers, Black Tusk etc. I wanted to see what was producing Helm Creek, so I climbed a ridge that ran above it, to the Helm Glacier and a cool little unnamed lake at the toe.
