North Ridge of Gladsheim Peak # 4803

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2002.08.18
Vantage Point: From summit of Devils Dome

Caption: The massive northwest side of Gladsheim.

PhotoDescr: Given the "undercover" nature of climbing activity in the Valhallas, this ridge has probably been climbed (and would likely be massively undergraded, as per the tradition of the area!). It stretches over 3000' in elevation and about 1.5 km in horizontal distance and is one of the bigger features in the Valhallas after the north face of Dag. It is mellow at the top here, but the lower section (not visible) is very steep.

Only drawback would be the approach. Allow a day and half, by the looks of it, from Bannock Burn FSR. One must descend to Mulvey Lakes, ascend to Glad/Asgard col, then descend again to toe of the ridge. All yours!
