Above Pitt Lake # 4742

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2003.10.03
Vantage Point: From Panorama Ridge

Caption: A hazy shot from Panorama Ridge reveals the massive Pitt Lake, that's Goose Island below, left to right is the [Photo5150-Coquitlam/Pitt Divide] with the Five Fingers Spires on the end, Mount Meslilloet is next, then Garibaldi Mountain barely visible, and the Mamquam Massif right of Garibaldi.

PhotoDescr: While not the greatest picture, this vantage point is ideal for viewing the Coquitlam/Pitt Divide. The Five Fingers Spires take on their natural impressive stature from the east. When viewed from the west, they appear stumpy and there impressive prominence is not revealed.

I took a jaunt up to see the new shelter on Golden Ears on a hazy fall afternoon, and was rewarded with some pretty cool views.

I've done this trail a few times now, and the diverse group of people you meet are interesting to say the least. I met a fast-moving BCMC group just before two teenagers with a ghetto blaster (?) in running shoes had asked me if I could spare some water.
