Wenkchemna Pass and Eiffel Lake # 4711

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 1992.08.15
Vantage Point: From Eiffel Lake/Wenkchemna Pass Trail

Caption: Wenkchemna Pass lies between the ninth and tenth of the Ten Peaks.

PhotoDescr: Neptuak on the left and Wenkchemna on the right are the shoulders of Wenkchemna Pass on the Continental Divide. The peaks are named from the Stoney words for nine and ten. Curtis Peak in Yoho National Park is visible across the pass.

I took this photo while on a dayhike to Eiffel Lake with my daughter, who was 13 years old at the time. It was another 10 years before I reached the pass itself on a much different August day, with fresh snow and low clouds obscuring the peaks.
