Peaks Around the Headwaters of North Stein River # 4538

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2003 August
Vantage Point: From Peak 8400 (Van Horlick)

Caption: Looking southeast to the headwaters of the North Stein River. Upper Van Horlick Creek at bottom.

PhotoDescr: The only feature with a name visible in this photo is Storm Peak, the large glaciated massif at upper right. Big stuff back there by the looks of it. Doesn't really show up on the maps.

This is pretty infrequently travelled country to say the least. Parties making the traverse from Lizzie Lake to the Nahatlatch do not come this far north, and it is also seldom that skiers go much further north than Meditation Mountain from the Lizzie area.
