Approaching Mt. James Turner # 4296

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2003.08.01
Vantage Point: From the head of the Needles Glacier, looking towards James Turner

Caption: Crossing the head of the Needles Glacier on the way to climb Mt. James Turner

PhotoDescr: James Turner was climbed by a BCMC party during the Club's camp that was held at Wedgemount Lake in summer 2003. The peak was an 18-hour round trip from the hut, although it would be quicker with a smaller group. Here we're trekking across the Needles and upper Chaos Glaciers to the Berna Glacier, which is in shade in the distance at middle right. Incredible views from a remote and rugged peak.
