Rush Hour on Mount Temple II # 4193

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2003.08.16
Vantage Point: From below the crux black band

Caption: Lineups to descend the crux "black band" on Mount Temple were a feature of a busy Saturday in August.

PhotoDescr: Mount Temple is generally regarded as the easiest peak above 11,000 feet in the Canadian Rockies. Even though the smoke from many forest fires in Alberta and British Columbia made the views hazy and the thin air a little harder to breathe, dozens of scramblers made the climb on this day, including at least two seven-year-old boys, a nine-year-old, and a twelve-year-old making his second ascent.

There are a variety of opinions as to exactly where the best route is through the black bands part way up the mountain. One option is shown in the photo.
