Garibaldi Northeast Face # 404

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 1995.09
Vantage Point: From Garibaldi Neve

Caption: Tim Duty scoping out Mount Garibaldi and the bergshrunds cutting across its northeast face

PhotoDescr: Once the spring snow has melted, the large bergschrund cuts almost all the way across the face. In 1996, I climbed to the bergschrund and went left, downclimbing broken seracs to traverse onto an exposed 55-degree slope. I pitch led to easier ground and the summit. In spring, just head straight up the middle of the face to the summit. Ice axe recommended.
