The Overseer Group from the East # 3490

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2003.02.09
Vantage Point: From Summit of Faceless Mountain

Caption: The Overseer group from the Railroad Pass area showing some prime skiing terrain. Left to right are Overseer, Spidery, with Pika being the middle of three apparent bumps at rightmost. The "famous" run is off the east face of Overseer, which could probably be continued down into the South Creek Valley for a distance of about 4000 feet.

PhotoDescr: The interest in this aspect of the headwaters of the South Creek area is the awesome looking skiing to be had from the Harrison Hut. Access would appear to be a real problem right now as the Lillooet FSR is both gated and unplowed. Given the recent regulation over fees and access to the Meager Creek hotsprings, it is unclear when the road will be plowed. Hopefully there will be a small window to allow some skiing into the hut; the area is always on my list but for one reason or another I never get to visit.
