On the South Ridge of Welch # 3109

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2002.12.08
Vantage Point: From South Ridge

Caption: Colin Haley scrambling on the south ridge of Welch.

PhotoDescr: I had wanted to do the south ridge of Welch for a long time now; its sweep is almost a kilometre long and an alluring line from the Fraser Valley. We followed the ridge right from Williamson Lake and only deviated around one annoying, loose gendarme. A fun line and most folks won't need a rope (not much to rappel from anyways!). Thanks to Mark for giving us a ride up and Dell and Simon for the lift down. I'll buy a truck one of these days.
