Caption: This is the view from the top of Hidden Falls, overlooking Panorama Creek, Katannilik Park, Nunavut.

PhotoDescr: Philip Mees is a member of the Grant MacEwan Mountain Club, and currently (2002-2003) is serving as president. This photo was taken during a 12 day self-guided trip from Iqaluit to Kimmirut, following the Itijjagiaq route.

The Itijjagiaq trail starts from the south shore of Frobisher Bay, crosses the highlands of the Meta Incognita Peninsula, and then follows the Soper River to Kimmirut (formerly Lake Harbour). Much of the route lies within a territorial park. Katannilik ("the place of waterfalls") Park is an area of approximately 1,269 km2, almost all of it in the Soper River watershed.
