Copper Mountain From Red Mountain # 2971

Below is a description of the photograph you were looking for, and the circumstances surrounding the photo.
Date: 2002.02.25
Vantage Point: From the summit of Red Mountain

Caption: Copper Mountain seen from the summit of Red Mountain.

PhotoDescr: This is the Bonnington Range, the small mountain range directly behind our house in Blewett. The ski touring in the area is great - there are both treed and open runs so no matter what the snow stability, there is somewhere to ski. Self-propelled access is relatively long. On this day, we skied up the Copper Mt FSR and did a couple of runs down from the summit of Red Mountain - four hours to the col between Red and Copper. On the plus side, skiing out took about 45 minutes!
